When the colours of the ancient world faded, some artisans chose to recreate them.
Thus was born L'Atelier des Mondes Perdus , a place where each creator gives new form to lost beauty through the material he masters.
Cycle I – Butterflies
This cycle brings together the first rebirths.
Each craftsman shapes butterflies according to their own material — fabric, stone, glass, metal, wood…
The forms vary, the lights change, but all bear witness to the same symbol: the return of life to matter.
The Carpenter
A craftsman of ancient wood and forgotten architectures, he recreates temples, arches and sanctuaries of the vanished world.
His world breathes serenity , nature under control , and the memory of living wood .
In this cycle, he imagines the butterflies as small sculpted relics , born from an ancient temple where light still passes through the sacred beams.
🪵 The Butterflies of the Temple
This set explores the tranquility , structure , and spirituality of wood .
The butterflies seem to come from a motionless sanctuary: slender silhouettes sculpted in warm wood, visible veins, sacred lines reminiscent of the columns, doors and totems of old.
Each image captures a fragment of this world:
a golden light filtering through the leaves, a wingbeat frozen in the wood, a silent presence watching like the statues of an ancient temple.
