When the colours of the ancient world faded, some artisans chose to recreate them.

Cycle I – Butterflies

This cycle brings together the first rebirths.
Each craftsman shapes butterflies according to their own material — stone, metal, glass, fabric, wood…
The shapes vary, the reflections change, but all bear witness to the same symbol: the return of life to matter.

The Sculptor

A craftsman of stone and the divine, he shapes sacred forms where mineral matter becomes memory.
In this cycle, he recreates butterflies as fragments of awakened obsidian, fashioned from a dark and deep material.

The Obsidian Butterflies

This set explores depth, silence, and mineral beauty.
The butterflies appear to be sculpted in the shadows: dark surfaces, polished glints, silent reflections reminiscent of the density of obsidian.

Each image captures a nuance of this sacred material:
a deep gleam, a discreet light, a shape engraved in stone.
